About Us

To serve The Church as an event ministry focused on building Biblical community amongst believers from all gospel-preaching churches in New York City and beyond.

To see believers love each other as brothers and sisters in Christ and model Biblical community to the world by creating opportunities to build friendships through social events and topic-driven discussions that offer training to help us accomplish this mission.

We are not affiliated with any specific denomination, but seek to serve believers from all churches who preach the gospel as stated in the following passages:

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners,
Christ died for us
.” Romans 5:8

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23

For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved’.” Romans 10:12-13

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

(am I missing any scriptures here?)

who is the church?

The Church is the Body of Christ as described in the following passages:

Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.”
1 Corinthians 12:12-14

“So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.” Ephesians 4:11-16

(need help describing what Brothers and Sisters in Christ means and where in scripture it lays that out)

who are the believers?

The believers are….(need help here):

What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.” Romans 6:1-6

“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 2:4-7

what is biblical community?

We seek to model Biblical community after the early church described in Acts 2:42-47:

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”

We serve believers of all ages, statuses and denominations who are in need of biblical community. And to experience true community amongst all believers, we need everyone to do that - whether married or single, age 21 or 75, Pentecostal or Reformed…there is no partiality.
